Your Introduction to Essential Oils

AromaheadCalmingUpliftingInterested in the physical and emotional benefits of essential oils but unsure of where to start?  I have a couple of resources for you that might be just what you needed to guide you without overwhelming you!

doTERRA has a small 3 oil kit called “Introduction to Essential Oils“.  It comes with three very popular single essences (Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint) and both an audio CD and booklet to help you get the most out of each oil in your daily life.   (note:  if my link above doesn’t work for you, then go to MyDoTerra.com/SanteeOils and do a search for the item # 3218.)  This is a wonderful way to sit back and get comfortable with the three oils all in the comfort of your own home.

Our friends at Aromahead.com have a free online course also called Introduction to Essential Oils.  Did I mention it is free?  Also a way to take it all in, from home, with no pressures.  The folks over there also sell oils, although my heart belongs to the doTERRA line.

When I do chair massages, my favorite all-around oil blend is a combination of Lavender and Wild Orange.  If you look at the image above you’ll see that is an oil from the Calming group and an oil from the Uplifting group.  Perfect for the workplace chair massage session!  My clients relax in the quiet setting of our private conference room surrounded by candles, relaxing music and the soothing essence of Lavender.  When it is time to step out of the sanctuary and back into the faster-paced life of the workday, the Wild Orange makes it an easier transition and has the client alert and ready for the rest of their day.

What is your one favorite oil?  Let us know in the comments section and be sure to tell us how you use it – help introduce YOUR favorite to someone new!
