Life is not about what we get but what we give out

Today I was listening to a WONDERFUL podcast with Harrison Klein “Manifest Mind Training:
3 Easy Ways to Master Manifesting” – this recording is available only until Sunday Midnight. Check it out by CLICKING HERE.

(c) SanteeOils.wordpress.com

(c) SanteeOils.wordpress.com

I’m only 30 minutes into it so far, before I had to attend to other responsibilities, and my notes already include:

– Take what is given to me and make it BETTER
– Be bigger than what I am asked to do
– All that is, is. All that is not, CAN BE
– We don’t get what we want, we get what we ARE
– Law of Physics: Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only change forms
– Lack is an illusion and abundance is truth
– As we improve one thing, we improve all other things
– The point of power is always in the NOW
– Use the power of ritual to anchor your manifestations
– The word success is linked to the word successive, which means repeating a pattern of behavior over and over again. The conscious mind retains only 10% of what is read/heard. By taking the principles you want and practicing them in ritualistic ways, you will retain 90% of the information!
– There is a big difference between trying to have something and experiencing something
– Knowledge not applied is not true knowledge
– Ritual transfers knowledge into memory
– Life is not about what we get but what we give out

If ANY of these points speak to you – listen while you can. If you can take a moment, I’d love to read in the comments below what principles stand out for YOU. I can not wait to catch the rest of the podcast myself!

OnGuard Toothpaste – flouride free and more benefits

On Guard Toothpaste - flouride free and helps keep a mouth healthy!I am very excited over the feedback I’ve been getting from people using the doTERRA OnGuard Whitening Toothpaste. The first huge advantage is that it is fluoride free. Fluoride ingestion is a scary thing, especially in our little ones under age 6. In 1997 the toothpaste companies were required to start including a warning label and phone number to call in case of ingestion on their tubes. Have you ever called that number? Back in October I heard a story of someone who did (out of curiosity) and they were immediately connected to poison control (I mean *immediate* … there wasn’t even time for a pleasant “please hold while I connect you …”). PC told him to get his son to the hospital asap, at which point he had to ‘fess up and admit his son didn’t really ingest the product, he was only curious.

Still not sure about the health risks involved with fluoride? Check out this post from the Flouride Action Network at FlourideAlert.org: Toothpastes. Interesting tidbits. I hadn’t realized how trusting and ignorant I have been!

So let’s talk less scary stuff. OnGuard Toothpaste. I am an Independent Product Consultant for doTERRA and I continue to be amazed by these wonderful products. I’ve had some good feedback from my friends and clients and hope you enjoy reading these testimonials as much as I do!

A friend of mine was experiencing extreme sensitivity in her mouth (I can’t remember if it was gum or tooth pain off the top of my head). In less than a week after using the OnGuard Toothpaste from doTERRA, her sensitivity was gone. I was intrigued!

Yesterday I heard from another friend. She, her mom and I drove to the annual Convention together in Salt Lake City. After hearing the story about regular toothpaste and the poison control number listed on the tube, her mom (Candy) and I immediately purchased our own OnGuard Toothpastes and threw out our traditional pastes when we arrived home. That was 6 weeks ago. Yesterday morning Candy went to her scheduled appointment for her oral surgery and asked her doctor to double check her numbers. He did and found that she was no longer in need of the surgery. Wonderful news! Candy was also adding a drop of Melaleuca and Clove at her brushings for an extra boost (although there is already Clove in the OnGuard blend).

If you had a chance to attend my On Guard webinar earlier this week, you heard how good the oil is at addressing oral abscesses and gum issues. These testimonials are wonderful to hear!

(NOTE: do not use the OnGuard Toothpaste on your dogs. It contains xylitol which, while safe for us, is toxic to our canine friends.)

OnGuard Toothpaste retails for $11.33. If you have a wholesale membership (only $35 for a full year) then the price drops to $8.50. A 4 oz tube will last quite a while, depending on how many people are using it. You only need a pea-sized amount at each brushing to be effective! To purchase retail, just visit my store at http://MyDoterra.com/SanteeOils. If you would like to take advantage of the wholesale membership (no ordering requirements, it is comparable to how a Costco membership works), then just click JOIN in the upper right corner of that landing page. You’ll be given two choices – click the top button for the $35 membership which will give you an average of 25% off all purchases for the year.

Have you been using the OnGuard Toothpaste? I’d love to hear your testimonials in the comments section!

April’s Education Quest: DigestZen Essential Oil Blend from doTERRA

DigestZen Essential Oil Blend

DigestZen Essential Oil Blend

(NOTE: I’m not sure why this never posted last April, I found it while cleaning up my categories and tags. This is the oil that catapulted me from “doTERRA Oil User” to “doTERRA Business Builder” and it seemed like a good post to publish! Read on …)

I decided to learn about doTERRA DigetZen Essential Oil Blend in April.   I’ve been sharing facts about it with my FaceBook audience throughout the month and now it is time to bring all of those posts together for my Blog summery post.  I started the month off with this tidbit:  why I chose DigestZen.  I’ve suffered with severe acid reflux for a couple of decades now and this seemed like a good place to do some experimenting with EOs and common health concerns.  My research at this time pointed to DigestZen as the perfect EO blend to help eradicate my condition.  I take one drop in 4 oz. of water once a day and am interested to see at the end of the month as to how it has worked for me.  Read through to the end of this blog post for my monthly summery on my self-experiment  (oils can be purchased at mydoterra.com/santeeoils)

“Dr. Hill’s experience with patients and his research has concluded that most gastrointestinal disorders are secondary to inflammation from bacteria, viruses, parasites and other microbes and a lack of good nutrition.” DigestZen has been found to be antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-micorbial, anti-nausea, anti-parasitic, anti-spasmodic, soothing for hangover symptoms (alcohol, sugar, carbohydrate or meat protein).  It soothes and subdues acid reflux, stimulates repair of damaged tissues of the digestive system, been credited with reducing polyps in the intestinal tract.
DIGESTZEN USES:
Use DigestZen on the wrists for indigestion relief.
Use DigestZen around the core of the stomach and on the wrists for nausea, severe indigestion, vomiting, diarrhea, cramping, food poisoning, acid reflux, esophageal burning, gas, bloating, colic (for a tiny baby use on the bottom of feet).
DIGESTZEN TESTIMONIALS:
 – I attended an oil presentation and met some great people.  One of the shares from Sandra, the presentor, caught my attention.  She was out to eat with some friends for an evening of fun and socializing.  However, something from the dinner caused everyone to have upset stomachs.  Sandra took her DigestZen at the first sign of tummy difficulties and made it through the night with quick relief and no further symptoms.  Over the next couple of days as she checked in with her friends, she found out that everyone else had full-blown food poisoning symptoms.  DigestZen to the rescue!

UPDATE: I LOVE THIS OIL! The relief was practically immediate and I can’t remember the last time I was pain free from my *constant* acid reflux. I am sold!

Misconceptions

I was watching an earlier episode of MONK today.  In one scene the germaphobe  investigator enters the headquarters of a marathon to gather information.  Knowing he is going to be expected to shake hands – and maybe even sweaty hands! – he has his assistant searching through her handbag for the sanitary wipes.  The handshaking is starting.  The searching is getting a bit frantic.  And just as the last handshake is finished, the handwipe is passed to Adrian Monk and relieved, he wipes other people’s germs off his hands.  The camera pans.  Brows are furrowed.  People are starting to get very angry.  And the last man that had his hand shaken blows up at Monk.  You see, the last man was African-American;  everyone else was Caucasian.  The characters on the show that are Monk’s friends (and fans of the TV show) understand that this wasn’t a racial statement in any way.  But these 5 characters who just met the man don’t know his history and wouldn’t listen to the assistant’s assurances that this was not racially motivated.  The misconception was set and no one was going to change their minds.

This isn’t something that only happens in tv scripts.  Misconceptions happen in everyday life, even among friends.  I was given a Family Four Pack of tickets to the San Diego County Fair this year.  One person that I would have considered asking along had a work commitment that day, so I asked three other friends.  Through a series of miscommunications, the person not asked has accused me and the others of conspiring against her.  I understand the hurt feelings.  I can see (now) how things have looked through her eyes and that the Fair day was the final straw.  And like the strangers at the marathon headquarters in the tv script, she is not interested in listening to any other perspective – her mind is made up.

Unlike the fictional characters, this is someone I enjoy having in my life.  Someone I appreciate.  Someone who makes me laugh.  While she and I aren’t fast friends – we don’t call each other up and talk on the phone and our social interactions are limited to a handful a year – we do enjoy each others company and see each other almost every day of the week on a regular basis while she is at work.  Monk could walk away from the strangers and their misconceptions don’t change anything in his life.  I don’t have any desire to just walk away from this person.  But while she is convinced that I am deviously plotting against her, I have no idea what I can do to bring back our relationship.  Possibly only time can do that.

Have you ever been caught up in a situation that seemed different to someone else than it did to you?  How has it affected you (or the other person)?  What have you done to show another point of view and bring a misconception back into perspective?

Just One Little Thing … Just For Today …

DCF 1.0I’ve been preoccupied with oil posts and recipes. I don’t think I’ve done much to help INSPIRE you lately and for that I ask your forgiveness!

Life gets pressing, overwhelming, sometimes downright oppressive. Don’t get me wrong – life is beautiful! The sun is shining, the dogs’ tails are wagging, I have a roof over my head provided by a dear friend and the people who I have in my circle are all amazing, each in their own special way! But as I move into *another* year of digging out from a financial hole (from two major episodes, in 2006 and 2010) I find myself allowing frustration to take a little bite at me. Just as I get moved to the point of tears of despair, Life reminds me of the beauty in the friends around me. And I am strong again, ready to move forward.

Yesterday was one of those days where I just…can’t…take…it. And another Angel in my life hands me Hope and Smiles. That story is a part of my DoggieBlog Post today.

And today is another day. Another day where I am strong. Where I am hopeful. Where I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

So what can I do to make today better than yesterday? What ONE Little Thing, Just for Today, can I do to make just an inkling of a step towards a better me?

I have been very bad about taking my own advice. I haven’t been doing a short 10 minute workout every day. I am in Santee, CA. In the Summer. The last day it was below 90 degrees was 7 days ago! (Check it yourself at Weather.com – my zip code is 92071. I have fun playing around on that site – yes I can be a weather nerd!). And my room (bedroom/office) in the house is easily the hottest one in the afternoon, even with A/C. 10 minutes of movement in these conditions are about 9.5 minutes too many!

So Just For Today my One Little Thing was: to take an early morning walk with the Cockers. I live in an industrial area and my “block” is 1 mile around. I was awake without the alarm clock by 5:30, so by 6:15 we were on our way. It was only 63 degrees and started off perfect. By about half-way I realized the humidity was going to be a bear today. When we arrived home I took a look at my WeatherBug app and saw that it was already 100% humidity! Oh my! But – we made it, the dogs had a blast and I got my fresh air and more exercise than I had yesterday. Yay!

Tell me … for you, what is your One Little Thing, Just For Today?
